What a mouth full that is! The Super Blue Blood Moon made its appearance last night for the first time in what will be 158 years before it happens again.
A Super Blue Blood Moon is the result of a Blue Moon and a total lunar eclipse which happen at the same time. The eclipse, for those living in the Mid-Northern California, could be seen between 3 am and 8 am. The photo’s below were taken around 4 am.
These were shot with a Sony Cyber-shot camera with night settings. I had a pretty good view with my telescope as well, but I had to take these still shots to share with everyone!
The next Blue Moon, which is the second of two moons in March, will be on March 31.
